CradlesApp Store

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 November 2026

Cradles is made by me, Tom Redway (Thomas Redway on the App Store), an independent developer based in the UK. This policy covers the Cradles game and this website.

The short version

Data that stays on your device

Cradles stores your high score, chosen skin and sound settings on your iPhone, along with the date you first opened the game, which it uses to decide when to ask for a review.

Device backups, including iCloud Backup, can include this data, and are handled by Apple under your own account.

To remove this data from your device, delete Cradles from your iPhone.

iCloud

Your gem balance and unlocked skins are saved in your own iCloud account, so they follow you between devices. I can’t access this. You can remove it in the Settings app, under your name, then iCloud.

Game Center

If you’re signed in to Game Center, your scores are sent to Apple for the Cradles leaderboard, where other players can see your Game Center name and score. I don’t receive your Apple Account details. You can sign out of Game Center in the Settings app.

Purchases

Gems are handled by Apple, and I never see your payment details. Apple sends me sales reports that don’t include your name or contact details.

Crash reports and usage statistics

If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers, Apple sends me crash reports and usage statistics that don’t include your name or contact details. You can change this in the Settings app, under Privacy & Security, then Analytics & Improvements.

Emailing me

If you email me, I receive your email address and whatever you send. I use it to reply to you and keep it only as long as I need it to help you. My email is provided by Apple.

This website

This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts. It’s hosted on Firebase Hosting, run by Google, which processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and keep the site secure. Links to the App Store take you to Apple’s website, where Apple’s privacy policy applies.

Who else is involved

I don’t sell your data, share it for advertising or use it to track you. Apple and Google process data as described above, under their own privacy policies, and may do so outside the UK. The only third party that receives data from the game is Apple, which provides the same or equal protection of your data as this policy. I’d only share anything else if the law required me to.

Your rights

I’m the data controller for emails you send me, and I rely on my legitimate interests in supporting Cradles to use that data.

Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct, delete or get a copy of this data, and you can object to or restrict how I use it. Email me and I’ll reply within one month.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by signing out of Game Center, or by deleting the game. To have an email from you deleted, ask me.

If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Children

Cradles is rated 4+ on the App Store and doesn’t ask anyone for personal details. If you think a child has emailed me, let me know and I’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If anything changes, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
